“I signed up for the study trip to Turkey because I knew I wouldn’t be able to visit many of the locations on my own… and because I was fascinated by one of them, Pamukkale.
It ended up being not only a trip where we received valuable information, we visited many impressive sites that we were studying at that time in our first year of college, but also a trip where we made many funny, wacky and fond memories. It was an ice breaker in getting to know our colleagues and learning architecture in a different way, in a stickable way.
Now, 15 years later, I am convinced that that experience was a cornerstone in my career simply because it showed me the importance of visiting, perceiving and analyzing architectural spaces in situ, a lesson I have carried with me ever since.”
